Three Reasons Why I Homestead:

 

#1 Enjoyment - I love getting up early and slipping out the back door to do farm chores, spending the cool hours of the day in the garden, and all while spending time with my family.

 

#2 Health - Knowing your farmer is better than any organic label on the shelf. What better way to know how your food is being grown than to do it yourself?

 

#3 Freedom - Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger once said, "Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people." I want to build a community that's not easily controlled.
